2007 Spain and Mexico - DIR: JA Bayona

few weeks ago, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the film will represent Spain in the way the Oscars will be : The Orphanage. Bayona's debut feature has been branded by many as a déjà vu , as can not avoid the similarities (some might call it plagiarism) the work, and award-winning Alejandro Amenabar: The Others. Some may believe that it is a blatant copy, but are confused, the work of Catalan manages to combine the horror, suspense and drama in a way that few filmmakers could get. The script grabs the viewer's attention for 100 minutes, making it suffer the misfortunes of a marriage that, in an attempt to help young people with mental illnesses, are happiness cut short with the disappearance of his only son. As the story unfolds, the audience begins a transition period in which the desperate agony of those parents who are losing hope. This wave of emotions is aided by the large role it plays Belén Rueda, who takes center stage, the interpretation of the story and manages to outshine history itself, forgetting the poor missing child.

El Orfanato English abandoned the cliches, to use the American formula with Alejandro Amenabar, among others, garnered much success: a haunted house where there is an unsolved mystery. The outcome is logical, but the ending is unexpected and certainly the icing on the cake.

Today I will put aside the romantic and I will show the last short we have made friends. Dani and I co-wrote the script on request of the group. We assume that we had a video camera that dusting and a weekend ahead. So as you can see, use the reality show "Big Brother" (which just released its issue number 12) was our best idea (and the only I think). We decided that each would have a very strong personality, but in the madness (none seem to be sane).
